“[He] is an incredibly insightful individual who can take very complex issues and break them down to core issues that can then lead to elegant solutions. I found Chris to be a valuable resource in evolving my thinking as a leader, which in turn led to positive results in my organization.” - Bob Franco, VP American Express
“What Zybic has developed is amazing! You owe it to yourselves to see their "SKIER"- ZE. I can't wait to develop it further and use it to support all of our activities in Allegiance Staffing. We first explored, setup and are using it in our Nashville operation. Now we have decided to present it to all of our fellow Allegiance Owners at our next board meeting. I see so many ways that it will help our organization internally and also as a network. I'm often impressed and delighted to find that it really is a natural way to capture and share all kinds of different information we have struggled with until now. ZE would be a great interactive "tool" for any and all companies. I recommend that everyone gives it a try and I think you'll see all the different possibilities of its use. I can't begin to explain all it can do. You just have to take some time to play with it.” - David Winton, President Allegiance Staffing
“I am writing to recommend to your attention Chris, who has worked with the Education group of The Metropolitan Museum of Art to develop a comprehensive overview of our procedures and processes. Using the power of the computer and the business expertise of Chris, we have benefited enormously. Chris’s ability to organize this complex information was remarkable. By using the software program he developed - Zybic Enterprise - we have been able to find areas of overlap or inefficiency, and thus take steps to improve our operations. Moreover, his approach is truly global - relating even the most routine operation to our Mission, organizational scheme, and even individual job responsibilities. As a descriptive tool, the results were simply terrific. Zybic Enterprise is also a wonderful training tool, because new (or not-so-new) employees can use it to explore the vast organizational space of our activities. We worked with Chris when Zybic Enterprise was in development. Because our financial and business operations are complex, we were a tough test, but Chris and Zybic Enterprise came through with flying colors.” - Kent Lydecker, Frederick P. and Sandra P. Rose, Associate Director for Education, The Metropolitan Museum of Art
“I met Chris and hired him to help me with documenting and creating an online real-time process mapping system that included the detailing of various functions and their interdependencies. The project was tremendously successful and I thoroughly enjoyed working with Chris. I highly endorse him!” - Juan Brea, Director American Express
Shift Supervisor
This is my first job since I graduated last May. In my department we make an incredible number of complex products. Things are good now and I think I understand it pretty well.
But when I started, the equipment, people and departmental interactions really challenged me. Even specialized words had different meanings than I was used to. Lots of times I was unsure or confused about what people meant or said. There was too much to absorb.
A couple of days in, my boss pointed me to Zybic Enterprise. He said that it was something he wished he had when he started out. I learned to rely on ZE whenever I had questions. Its cool. I use it a lot. Seems everybody else here does too.
Maintenance Manager
I have responsibility for nearly a 100 million dollars of production equipment. If we go down, you can be sure that my guys and I are right on it. This is serious business. If we aren’t back up in minutes I am in big trouble.
So my life revolves around insuring that we stay up. We are pretty good at this. We have the experience and training. But when things are quiet and going well, I spend my time planning on ways to keep it that way.
Lately, I have been concentrating on a tough problem. Specifically, it seems that we are setting our own ‘traps’.
Worse, the complexity of our operation allows even subtle, seemingly unrelated events, conditions or activities to join sometimes with a catastrophic result. So it is key that I uncover, capture and control what bits I can before they really bite me - again.
In discussions with the people at Zybic, I discovered that this source of misery was what they call Instance Variation. This is a name for the truth that even if you do something a million times, every instance or individual result is unique. Its just the way it is. Each time done, something has the potential to be different, incomplete, drop through the cracks, or lost. Even with limited local impacts, these various outcomes sometimes conspire in unimaginable and unpleasant ways.
Until ZE I strived to capture and follow through on everything. I am very meticulous, but I often guessed at which things deserved more care and attention than the others.
Zybic Enterprise has changed that. Now I know that what we discover is properly resolved and I leverage this knowledge. ZE is perfect for my use. I am still meticulous, but I am devoting our resources to better effect. I have the improved downtime statistics to prove it. ZE helps me rest easy.
Sales Manager
One of my chronic frustrations was that I was devoting too much time with my newer salespeople answering their questions regarding contract booking procedures and policies. The experienced ones are pretty self-sufficient, but new hires always needed lots of support until their first few deals booked.
To my great pleasure, ZE has changed this. Since I incorporated ZE, they just address their questions to it. I bet they sort out 70 - 80 percent right there.
I find that I am less distracted by the constant minutia of departmental process and operations. I definitely am spending my time on more productive and profitable activities. My people are too.
Remember the character ‘Radar’ in the show MASH? Zybic Enterprise is like him. It has everything right organized and immediately available.
SVP
I often have to communicate and provide direction on topics well removed from my direct association and control. Sure ultimately, I control or at least influence them, but there are so many levels of hierarchy and so much ambiguity in the local lexicons that the information I need and use everyday can be off point, corrupted, incomplete or just plain not available.
If my information isn’t very good, can you imagine what my opinions and directives will do on the way down?
Zybic Enterprise gives me more confidence that I have valid and germane information. So as my directives cascade through the enterprise, they are more likely to have the intended impact. In fact, I am spending less time restating my directives / intent and more time focused on business opportunities. I think ZE positively impacts any organization it touches.
